Online Giving is now available
You can now make contributions to HWC using a credit card, debit card, or an electronic withdrawal from your bank account. You do need to set up an account (it's quick and easy) and then you are set to contribute any time you'd like. There is also an option to set up recurring gifts. You can direct your gifts to General Fund or break them down into other funds as well. Just go to our website (haywardwesleyan.org), go to “Resources” and “Giving Online”. The link will also be active in our Weekly Window and Open Door email newsletters.
It’s time to start cleaning out your closets for the Annual
Bible Quizzers’ Garage Sale on March 2-3
Good, clean items will be accepted. Please save your items and bring them in on Thursday, March 1st. If you need to bring things in ahead of time, please call Cathy (634-5866) to arrange for off-site storage.
Blankets, coats, hats, gloves, and scarves (new or gently used) are being collected (through Jan. 31) by our area churches for the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. One third of the homes there do not have electricity or running water; there is 80% unemployment, 1/2 of those over age 40 have diabetes and the infant mortality rate is 3 times the national average. Our LCO Tribe has volunteered to help with shipping costs. Donated items may be dropped off here at the church. Questions can be directed to Kathy Espersen (715-699-1394).
Still accepting photos for our new directory
All of our active attendees are encouraged to submit a photo for our new online directory. This will be safe and secure, accessible only by a password we provide to you. One nice feature is that we can update and maintain the directory on a continuous basis. Each family can also print out their own copy at their convenience. For those who don't have the internet, we will have some printed copies available. Please email a family photo to hwc@cheqnet.net or drop it off at the church office (be sure the photo is sharp and close-up, and please list family members appearing in the photo - immediate family only, please). We encourage you to be part of this directory! It will help familiarize yourself with others and they will learn to recognize you as well.
