Dates for Youth Camp 2016:
Sunday, June 19 – Friday, June 24
For students who have completed
grades 6 – 12
The cost for Youth Camp is
This might seem a little weird, but Youth Camp is a little taste of what heaven will be like. Imagine a group of teenagers and adults stepping away from their normal world and disengaging from technology and focusing on God’s kingdom, away from all the distractions of life. When the noise has softened and the technology withdrawals have subsided (by about Tuesday), it is amazing to watch the incredible spiritual growth take place in the hearts and lives both the students and even adults.
Youth Camp is also a lot of fun. It’s amazing to folks who have never been to Youth Camp before that a deeply meaningful and rich spiritual environment can be equally a ton of fun! And it is! We laugh and goof off with the best of them!
If you choose to take a week out of your summer, away from cellphones, gaming, sports, and other stuff, you won’t regret the spiritual investment and lifelong friends you will make. See you there!
Transportation to Youth Camp is provided. We leave Hayward Wesleyan on Sunday, June 19 @ 12pm and we will return to Hayward Wesleyan on Friday, June 24 around 5pm. It takes about 4 hours to get to camp. Your camper will need some money for supper on Sunday, June 19 (we’ll stop in Steven’s Point to grab some supper before we arrive at camp). On the way home on Friday, we stop in Wausau and grab lunch, which your student will need money for as well. So, in addition to the $150 camp fee, send money for two meals on the way to camp and the way home from camp. Also, there is a snack shack where campers can buy snacks in between meals. Campers are allowed to bring up to $20 for the snack shack, but this is completely optional (there is plenty of food provided at meal times).
If you would like to register, please download the camper registration form (not yet available), fill it in, sign it, keep the other information for yourself, and turn it into the HWC Main Office or to Pastor Jeremy at Youth or any other time by ??, 2016.
