Make Some Bad Decisions! // Positively Speaking // Mark Wilson

A recent college graduate once asked a successful businessman the secret of his success.

“Good decisions,” came the reply.

“But how do you make good decisions?” asked the young man?

“Experience.” replied the older gentleman.

“Yes, but how do you get experience?” asked the graduate.

“Bad decisions.” the businessman responded.

If you make a bad decision, it’s not the end of the world. We all make bad decisions sometimes.

If you don’t make any bad decisions, that only means one thing — you are not making decisions!

Fear of failure keeps many from attempting to follow their hopes and dreams. “If I don’t do anything, I won’t make a bad decision.”

Ah — but that, in itself, is a bad decision!

It’s better to roll up your sleeves, dive in, and do something.

It is better to try and fail, than to never try at all.

You’ll make some blunders along the way, but at least you’ll be gaining experience.

Remember, bad decisions can be the secret to success!

As John Maxwell says, “As long as you’re going to fail, you might as well fail forward!”
