Dress a Girl

Dress A Girl 2

“Dress a Girl” is an anti-human trafficking organization providing new dresses for girls in Asia and other countries.   The idea here is that if a girl is wearing a decent dress – with the ‘Dress A Girl’ label, predators will realize they are being watched over by this organization.

Dr. Linda Caringal (missionary to Asia) gave an anti-trafficking presentation here in March and through that connection, our women found out about the Dress a Girl project.

You can help!  Anyone interested in sewing these simple dresses may pick up instructions from the church office.  Donations of new fabric, trims, elastic, or funds for the cause are also gratefully accepted.

For more information contact Eunice LaCoy at (715) 634-6167 or you can visit the Dress a Girl website here.

Please note:  The above website lists several different types of dresses.  To find the instructions for the type of dress most of the Hayward Wesleyan women are making, go to the menu and click on  “patterns”, then “patterns” again, and use “dress size chart” and “armhole pattern”.
