Galatians: The Gospel + Nothing

GalationsGALATIANS:  The Gospel + Nothing
A Six-Week Sermon and Teaching Series
Sundays mornings & Monday evenings:  September 13-14 to October 18-19

Following our Understanding the Bible sermon series, we will venture into a consideration of the message in the New Testament book of Galatians.

The letter from the Apostle Paul to the “Jesus followers” in Galatia is one of the most significant books of the Bible, and has been described as the “Magna Carta of Christian liberty”.

Within it we find a clear, emotional, and intensely personal argument concerning how a person is made right with God. In Paul’s own words the basic question is: “Does God give you His Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard?” (3:5)  And the answer comes in similar language: ” . . . a person is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ” (2:16).   The Gospel + Nothing.

This series will be the Sunday morning sermon theme starting on September 13th. Monday night sessions will also be offered at 6:30 pm from September 14th through October 19th.

The Monday night sessions offer a deeper study in the Scriptures from a variety of gifted teachers followed by small group breakouts for discussion and life application.   Our Monday night series is a great venue to grow spiritually and get plugged into a small group.   We welcome all adults to attend.  Childcare will be provided (children must be pre-registered to assure quality nursery care.)

All our small groups are encouraged to participate in the Monday night series.  If you are not in a small group, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience what it is like.

We’re going to have a blast!
