Youth Camp

Dates for Youth Camp 2017:

Sunday, June 11 – Friday, June 16

For students who have completed

grades 6 – 12

The cost for Youth Camp is

This might seem a little weird, but Youth Camp is a little taste of what heaven will be like. Imagine a group of teenagers and adults stepping away from their normal world and disengaging from technology and focusing on God’s kingdom, away from all the distractions of life. When the noise has softened and the technology withdrawals have subsided (by about Tuesday), it is amazing to watch the incredible spiritual growth take place in the hearts and lives both the students and even adults.

Youth Camp is also a lot of fun. It’s amazing to folks who have never been to Youth Camp before that a deeply meaningful and rich spiritual environment can be equally a ton of fun! Youth Camp had to move to a larger facility this year. Our old location was amazing, but just couldn’t hold all of the students that wanted to come! So we are now renting a camp facility called Northland Camp.

Northland is an extremely large camp facility with lots of amenities (zip line, water slide, climbing wall, challenge course, laser tag, mini-golf, disc-golf, swimming lake, wilderness lake, trails, activity fields, human foosball, 9 square, sand volleyball, and the list goes on and on). The new facility will allow for our continued growth as a camp. We won’t have to turn anyone away anymore! This is a neat place.

If you choose to take a week out of your summer, away from cellphones, gaming, sports, and other stuff, you won’t regret the spiritual investment and lifelong friends you will make. See you there!

Transportation to Youth Camp is provided. We plan to leave Hayward Wesleyan on Sunday, June 11 @ 1pm and we will return to Hayward Wesleyan on Friday, June 16 around 5pm . It takes about 3 and a half hours to get to camp. Your camper will need some money for supper on Sunday, June 11 (we’ll stop at a restaurant to grab some supper before we arrive at camp). On the way home on Friday, we will stop and grab lunch, which your student will need money for as well. So, in addition to the $225 camp fee, send money for two meals on the way to camp and the way home from camp.

Also, there is a coffee shop (espresso, cappuccino, frappes, smoothies, etc.) at this camp as well as a canteen where you can purchase pizza, candy bars, soda, etc. Campers can bring any amount of money they want, but this is completely optional (as there is plenty of food provided at meal times).

If you would like to attend Youth Camp this summer, you can register online at:

The website give you instructions on how to register online.

You can turn in the money for camp, $225 per camper, to the HWC Main Office or give it to Pastor Jeremy. Make the check out to: Hayward Wesleyan Church. Because of the facility change Youth Camp has definitely gone up in price. For the last several years we were able to keep it to $150. So it is quite a jump in price. I never want cost to get in the way of a student going to camp, so if you need the church to subsidize some of the cost, please contact Pastor Jeremy. Really… please don’t hesitate to ask!
